ZHA Fire Committee Meeting 2024 Quarter 3B September 5, 2 pm220 Mill Run Road
Minutes Members present: Forrest, Wayne, Mark, Suzanne, John
Old Business
● Weed plan (Armando was here spraying invasives on Wednesday, August 28. He was to focus on areas that had been mitigated, then anything else he could find. We don't have a report from him yet)
● current grants update (we are up to date on our paperwork and should be getting $57,000 back in grant money)
● next year projects (clearing the Indian Hill tanks intake and checking for debris level inside the tanks)
New Business
new signs for escape routes (John has ordered one at a cost of $22.52)
next Firewise poster (Suzanne found a poster about roof vents that she will get
printed for the bulletin board and website)
next mitigation area, future grants (Adam came out August 28 to evaluate future
project areas. We identified ZHA property on Little Bear and Greenbelts R, S, T, and U as priorities. There is a possibility money could be used on private lots that are adjacent to greenbelts that have been mitigated for continuity. Priority would be given to property owners that have larger [10 acres] tracts. These owners have been identified and will be contacted to see if they want to participate
'24 and '25 budgets (we are in the black. We should have a $10,000 NRCS grant for next year
